USE THESE TIPS TO START

Have some professional photos taken. Full length body shots and definitely some headshots.
Check out the model agencies in your city, or the closest metropolitan city. Use the yellow pages, the internet, etc.

Inquire about "open call" days, or what time is best to drop by and meet them or discuss business, etc. Remember, when you decide to go, dress professional as if you are going on a job interview. Do not go overboard on make-up, or sexy clothes, etc. You want to look attractive, but keep it toned down. You could become categorized as something that they don't want in their agency.
Don't be over talkative, speak intelligibly, and be pleasant. REMEMBER you need them!
If they select you, TERRIFIC. They will guide you. They will become your agents. Their job is to get you jobs. They will send you on auditions, castings, possibly photo sessions to build your portfolio. Listen to them, they know, this is their business...
